Artist's Comments

If you're wondering about the title: during figure drawing critique, one of the women in our class, Sandra, said that our male model, who is tall and lean, was "very Christ-like" in appearance. As a result, my mind queued up the Depeche Mode tune "Personal Jesus"--and now I hear that song every time I see this picture.

Damn, this is really amazingly done..
What's the media you've used for it?

I really look forward to working from models in my illustration course, but it's not coming for a couple more semesters, I think.

Hi! Thanks for the fave, too. I used charcoal and white pastel for this piece. I definitely think you'll enjoy working with models--this has been, by far, my favorite art class. :D
